I want to help 7-14 year old children enjoy learning.
Primary school children in the UK spend around 15% of their waking time in school (and secondary school children not much more!). Within that time at school, they do many things apart from reading, writing and maths. So helping our children grow in confidence with reading, writing and learning at home is a fantastic opportunity. More importantly, helping children enjoy reading at home in particular is a lifelong gift…
“Reading for pleasure is more important for children’s cognitive development than their parents’ level of education and is a more powerful factor in life achievement than socio-economic background”.
I also believe in considering the whole child and that character education is essential. Reading, learning and developing numeracy and literacy skills are simply important parts of that journey.
So perhaps you are looking to support your child ahead of school exams or 11+ assessments? Or perhaps you are concerned about their progress and attainment or lack of reading? Whatever your situation, I hope that this website will include something for you.
